The Club
We are one of the biggest clubs on campus, we have four teams that play in BUCS (formally BUSA) leagues. We are probably one of the biggest, if not the biggest, social clubs on campus.
Whether you are a keen Rugby Player with your friends, you play for your county or you have never played Rugby before, we will make you feel welcome. The club caters for all ability levels so come along to one of our training sessions and join in.
Feel free to contact any members of the committee with any questions you have about the club. You can find there contact details on the committee page.
When and where do we train?
Training for the club is every Sunday afternoon and Tuesday evenings. As well as additional fitness or skills training throughout the week (times vary according to teams). Training on Sunday is on the Pitches at Parkwood and on Tuesday evening on the Parkwood Astroturf. See map for directions.
Coming along regularly to training will greatly enhance your chances of playing for the club.
When are the matches?
The Club plays in the BUCS leagues every Wednesday. All of our teams play in the South Eastern Conference; our 1st XV in league 1A, 2nd XV in league 3B, and our 3rd XV and 4th XV in league 4B.
When and where do we socialise?
Whenever we can!! Regular socials are held every Wednesday evening after a match whether home or away for all teams. On a Wednesday we generally meet at one of the bars on campus, before heading to the University’s own nightclub The Venue. Plenty of other socials are held throughout the year and details are published well in advance. We also have a number of formal occasions through the year, including a Rugby Club Christmas Dinner, Casino Nights, The Annual Rugby Dinner and the Colours Ball.
